Spiritual Problems, Political Solutions

In the aftermath of the worst school shooting massacre in United States’ history, politicians will be attempting to strategize how to prevent this type of tragedy from happening again. They will develop methods that are mainly political in nature. However, the murdering of over 30 college students is actually spiritual is nature. Therefore, a spiritual solution will be required to eliminate future massacres of this magnitude.

Even though it is a spiritual problem, it is not God’s fault. When any crisis such as the Virginia Tech killings happens, God is blamed for the loss of life. However, in reality, the human who commits the gruesome offense is to be blamed. Yes, God could have stopped the carnage that took place. But, since man is a free, moral agent, he is responsible for his decisions and actions. This is the main rationale for labeling these types of events as spiritual in nature.

True spirituality and true Christianity can help people to overcome the problems that they encounter in their life, such as stress and depression. When these struggles arise in their life, they can turn to a higher, spiritual power to help them to make the correct decision on how to attack the problem that they face. When God’s Holy Spirit resides in the heart of a person, he is more capable of dealing with problems in his life in a more passive manner. God does not instruct His believers to kill in a vengeful manner. According to God, only self-defense and war are acceptable reasons for taking another person’s life. Therefore, anyone who kills someone for reasons other than these stated reasons is a murderer. Ultimately, the person who plans to kill another person in a vindictive manner would be carrying out the evil, demonic orders of Satan.

There is only one viable method to be used to prevent future campus slayings. A spiritual awakening must replace liberalism and political correctness in the halls of academia. God and Jesus Christ must be seen for what They are-the Creator and Savior of the minds of mankind. Therefore, without the Spirit of God possessing and controlling the minds of His Creation, anything can and will happen.

In conclusion, all the political strategies purported by governmental bureaucrats and highly trained educators in America will not truly stop mass murders on high school campuses and institutions of higher learning. It is going to take a revival of personal salvation to protect the minds of those students that Satan would attempt to control for his devilish mayhem of death. Therefore, don’t blame God! Instead, blame Satan and his spirit of darkness that hovers over America. As stated in the Bible, Satan goes to and fro throughout the land seeking whom he may devour. The Virginia Tech massacre is a prime example of what happens when Satan controls the thoughts and actions of a human being. God, please forgive us of our sins as individuals and as a nation. Also, help our leaders to see that political solutions will not solve spiritual problems. God Bless America!
