True Beliefsby Rick Adams Deuteronomy 6: 5 KJV: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. This is an order! Thou shalt love the Lord thy God…I do not think there is any equivocation about that. It goes on further to say how we shall love Him, with all your heart and all your soul and all your might. That means loving God as totally and completely as He loves you. The Holy Trinity loves you, so you should love God with the three parts of you: body, mind and spirit. I think it is easier for us to love God (as best we can), than it is for Him to love us. He loves us in spite of all our imperfections, foibles and contrariness. He doesn’t expect us to be perfect (Thank you, Lord.) However, He would like us to try and follow His set of guidelines that He has had written over the ages, the Bible. As we love our parents and followed their guidelines, so should we even more follow the perfect plan of our Heavenly Father. This means that we follow these guiding principles regardless of our feelings. After all, they are not just suggestions or bendable rules. The Ten Commandments tell us that we should not kill other people. That’s simple enough, or is it? There are people that tell us that certain human life forms are not people and it is all right to kill them because they cannot live outside the womb. So, I guess it is all right to kill people who are in a coma and are on life support. No, that would be murder because in time they often come out of the coma and will go off the life support. I believe if the liberal left (and some Supreme Court judges) would read a basic physiology text they would find out that in a few months that the fetuses would be born and would be able to live outside the womb. And as far as “partial birth abortion" is concerned, that’s just plain murder. What about Romans 1:21-32, which is a partial description of “New Age” religion (worship of man as god) and a description of the sin of homosexuality and it’s judgment and eternal punishment. Everyone can see that there is a huge push in America and elsewhere to get homosexuality accepted as a workable life style. Part of this push is to gag the Christian church and stop them from spreading the truth of that lifestyle. All the “hate speech” bills and the “hate crime” bills are primarily to silence the Pastors, so they cannot preach the truth of the Bible. Now, where is this legislation coming from and how can Christians help to stop it? It is coming from the extreme left wing of the Democratic party. They have gone so far as to include abortion and homosexual rights into their platform. You can see the effect it is having on the country. As soon as this bill is passed there will be homosexuals applying for jobs at most of the Christian Ministries in order to try and destroy them. They will certainly be applying at Christian high schools across the nation to try and gain converts. The homosexuals do not want equal rights; they want preferential treatment. Soon there may be affirmative action for homosexuals. The Democratic party used to be a somewhat proletarian party, but in the last 20 years the East Coast "intellectuals" and the left coast liberals have taken the party over and have changed its thinking to extremely liberal as well as anti-Christian. I say anti-Christian and I mean anti-Christian! They have abortion and homosexual rights as part of their party platform, two subjects that are extremely anti-biblical, therefore anti-Christian. Since the last election they have tried again to pass the “hate speech” bill that would silence Pastors from preaching against homosexuality. Even our own Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords is sponsoring a bill against “hate crimes”, whatever they are. (And they called her election opponent Randy Graf a radical!) The thing that gets me is that in the Constitution of the United States it does not mention anything about sexual preference rights. However, it does talk about the rights and freedoms based on “race, creed, color and national origin.” Now, these Democrats who are great about making up new “rights” to get the vote are trying to abrogate the rights of one of the groups mentioned in the Constitution, and they want to replace that group with a group not even thought of by the framers of the Constitution – the homosexuals. Everyone has to vote according to his or her own conscience, but if a Christian votes for the Democratic party, they should look to what their true beliefs are and whether they believe the Bible or the lies of the liberals. I’m not all that thrilled with the Republican party, but I believe they are the lesser of two evils. In the news you will hear many wonderful things about Democrats and awful things about Republicans as it get closer to election time. Just remember that American news media are extremely liberal and have all the veracity that Tass and Pravda exuded during the 1950’s. For you younger folks these were the Russian news agencies and were primarily propaganda organs for the Communist Party. Most of the American news media distribute propaganda points for the extreme left (better known as the Democratic party.)
